Cameroon-Commonwealth : Brighter Investment, Business Prospects

Prime Minister Joseph Dion Ngute on October 10, 2022 had discussions with the Chairman of the Commonwealth Enterprise and Investment Council, Lord Jonathan Marland.


There are brighter prospects of investment and business cooperation between Cameroon and the Commonwealth as the Chairman of the Commonwealth Enterprise and Investment Council, Lord Jonathan Marland is currently leading an exploration delegation in Cameroon.
Cameroon’s Prime Minister, Head of Government, Joseph Dion Ngute on October 10, 2022 had discussions with Lord Jonathan Marland and his delegation at the Star Building in Yaounde. After their discussions, the Chairman of the Commonwealth Enterprise and Investment Council told the press that they are exploring the “opportunities of bringing Commonwealth investors into Cameroon and taking Cameroon businesses out to the Commonwealth.” He added that, “I see Cameroon as a great place for people to do business and I think Cameroonians being entrepreneurial by nature are going to reach out further than the African continent to sell their programmes and create trade.”
The Commonwealth delegation to Cameroon is besides other areas comprised of people who have specialised in the education world, specifically new tech education world and new tech health world, Lord Jonathan Marland disclosed. He said these fields are important to countries including Cameroon. Discussions with the Prime Minister, he said, were “about how perhaps it can help as it has done in many countries to change the old way of doing things to the technical modern way of doing things.”
With King Charles III at the helm of the Commonwealth now, Cameroon certainly has better cooperation prospects.
