Elite One : Resumption Time Is Now

After two months of break, the different teams involved in the competition are making last minute touches ahead of the kick off.

The 2022-2023 Elite One Championship will resume on October 15, 202 after a two months of break. The different teams involved in the competition are already making last minute touches ahead of the kick off. The opening match will pit Astres FC of Douala against another Douala club, Union Sportive. The different stadiums are ready for the hosting of the matches. Football lovers are looking forward to getting back in the stadiums to cheer their teams. At the level of the administration, officials of the Transitional Council in charge of Professional Football (CTFP) are leaving no stone unturned to ensure a smooth start of season. The 2022-2023 football season will have 22 clubs divided into two groups; A and B. Each group will have 11 teams. 
According to the format from the CTFP, the first two teams from each group will face each other in the play off in a form of semi-finals. The two winners will play the final. The last two teams in the Elite One championship will be relegated to Elite Two. The 2022-2023 champions will receive the sum of FCFA 100 million; FCFA 50 million as bonus for champions and FCFA 50 million as additional bonus for preparation for African Inter Club Competitions. The play offs will take place in Bafoussam in the West Region.
