Douala : Gospel Music Concert Pulls Crowd

The aim was to bring together people to reconcile with the value of peace and togetherness.

Gospel musicians Bill Hens (from Bertoua) and Elsi Neris (from Yaounde) gave an impressive crowd a rare moment of praise to the Most High God with praise-worthy songs and thrilling melodies during a gospel concert at the Centre d’Animation, de Formation, de Recherche et d’Appui au Developpement (CAFRAD) at Bepanda in Douala over the weekend.
The two music artists were guest artists at the live concert that was essentially animated by 50 choristers from different church groups in Douala.
The concert was organised by CAFRAD as a continuation of Casmando Super Talent, one of CAFRAD’s popular annual shows, whose aim is to allow Cameroonians to reconcile with the value of peace and togetherness. 
According to the Director General of the mass choir, Yonta, society is becoming more and more divided by means of tribalism and they want to use gospel music to get rid of the ill.
