World Expo 2030 Hosting : Korea Solicits Cameroon’s Support

Prime Minister, Joseph Dion Ngute on behalf of the Head of State, President Paul Biya received the Korean Minister of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs, Chung Hwang-Keun.

The Prime Minister, Head of Government, Joseph Dion Ngute on behalf of the Head of State, President Paul Biya had discussions with the Minister of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs of the Republic of Korea, Chung Hwang-Keun during which he solicited Cameroon’s support to his country’s bid to organise World Expo 2030.
Information concerning the universal exhibition or World Expo indicates that countries such as Russia, South Korea, Italy, Ukraine and Saudi Arabia have submitted bids to host the event. The importance of the event is that it is a large international exhibition designed to showcase the achievements of nations.
Talking to the press after their discussions, the Korean Minister said his country would want to intensify cooperation with Cameroon so that Cameroon becomes an emerging country by 2035.  With focus on agriculture, Chung Hwang-Keun said they shared their experience with the Prime  Minister.
