New Deal At 40 : Grandiose Celebration

Festivities marking the 40th anniversary of President Paul Biya’ s accession to power on November 6, 2022 were characterised by rallies, prayers for peace in Cameroon and thanksgiving.


Celebrations marking the 40th anniversary of President Paul Biya’s accession to power on November 6, 1982 took place throughout the national territory and in the Diaspora on Sunday, November 6, 2022.
The grandiose event was characterised by rallies, prayer sessions for God to protect, guide and lead President Paul Biya as he pilots the ship of State and peace in the country. It served as the occasion for Cameroonians to count the blessings and achievements in terms of development, heath, education and socio-economic infrastructure for the 40 years of President Biya’s New Deal regime.
The event concerned all Cameroonians and friends of the country. However, President Paul Biya’s leading Cameroon People’s Democratic Movement (CPDM) took a prominent position in organising rallies and other ceremonies to thank President Paul Biya for the diverse achievements and progress registered during his 40 years in power. Prior to the celebration, the Secretary General of the CPDM Central Committee, Jean Nkuete gave orientations to members and officials of the party at all levels.
