Buea : Medical Student Shines In Arts Work

She won the second edition of APWAL Art Exhibition and took home FCFA 200,000.
Abessolo Marthe-Kelly, a level 600 medical student in the University of Buea, is the winner of the APWAL Arts Exhibition organised in Buea. On 100, she scored 85 points. She was followed by Njomke Samuel (82.5 points) and Awah Hans Mbuh (80.5points). The winner took home a cash prize of FCFA 200,000, the second had FCFA 100 000 and third got FCFA 50,000. The prizes were donated by Sesse Elangwe. For three days, from October 28 to 30, 2022, the 18 participants in Molyko competed in two aspects which are photo exhibition and painting exhibition. They worked on the theme “hair.” On photography, Tsafack Donmo won the lone prize which earned him FCFA 100,000.
As the only female participants in the competition, Abessolo Marthe-Kelly summited an exceptional piece titled “my hair, my story,” which came with a poem. She highlighted the fact that a person’s stay goes beyond the day they were conceived...
