Drug Trafficking : Three Dealers Apprehended In Yaounde

This is the outcome of an operation carried out by the Central Police Station at the Manguier neighbourhood in Yaounde.
Three dealers in cannabis and hard drugs residing at the Manguier neighbourhood in Yaounde have been apprehended by elements of the Central District Public Security Police Station in Yaounde. The information was made known by Police Commissioner, Thierry Medou on Monday, November 7, 2022 during a press outing.
The operation to clean the town of drug traffickers was carried out in the month of March, 2022 in the Manguier neighbourhood in Yaounde on the instructions of the Delegate General for National Security. During that investigation, a certain Kamdem Fossi Serge Julien was caught and detained for trafficking in large quantities of cannabis. The suspect was taken before a public prosecutor for questioning. With the arrest of Kamdem, it was believed that the population of Manguier was relieved from the phenomenon of drug consumption with all its ills especially to those related to the youths.
But surprisingly, the circulation of drugs in the locality kept flourishing. That is how the Police Station began a new investigation to know exactly what was happening. After some weeks of investigation, Medou and his team discovered that the girlfriend of Kamdem, whose name Cameroon Tribune got as Mariatou Bakemene, was now the new boss in the drug trafficking business. According to the Police Station Boss, she faithfully continued to maintain the trafficking of cannabis and hard drugs even after the arrest of her boyfriend. After questioning...
