National Youth Competition : 15 Laureates Rewarded

Winners of the National Competition for the Best Youth Art and Literature Prize on Economic and Financial Education were announced on Tuesday, November 9, 2022 in Yaounde. The works of the 15 laureates from the 10 regions of the country were assessed first by members of the Steering Committee of the National Youth Observatory (NYO), representatives of educational sectors, administration and development partners.  
The 15 youths received a testimonial for their active participation in the National Competition for the Best Youth Art and Writing Prize on Economic and Financial Education from October 17 to November 9, 2022. The winners also received a cash prize from development partners. During the event, the special prize of the Minister of Youth Affairs and Civic Education was given to Zo’o Evina Narcisse from the Centre Region. He participated in the Literature domain with a project on the financial inclusion of vulnerable persons and how the financial sector can contribute to empower these groups of people in a bid to attain the Sustainable Development Goals. Another winner from the South West Region, James Mange, received a prize in the musical category through a song he composed entitled: “Muyombo” in the mother tongue. Through the song, youths are advised to work genuinely to have money and if at any point in time they are put in a position of power, human investment should be their priority.
