Cameroon’s Opponents : Brazil, Switzerland Unveil Squads

Pooled in Group G, alongside the Lions, these teams have made public their final list of players to defend their national colours.

When the draw for the 2022 FIFA World Cup was conducted and Cameroon was placed in Group G alongside Brazil, Switzerland and Serbia, the Lions already knew they had a daunting task ahead. But with Brazil and Switzerland officialising their 26 men squads to play in Qatar, the journey looks tougher, enough reason for the Lions to be mentally strong to face such adversities. 
Coach Tite of Brazil recently  announced a strong 26-man squad led by the mercurial Neymar. A majority of the players play in Europe with several premiere league representatives. Brazil possibly has the strongest goalkeeping duo at this World Cup with Alisson Becker (Liverpool) and Ederson (Manchester City). Brazil’s defence led by team captain  Thiago Silva, 38, promises to be one of the strongest. Left-back Alex Telles, on loan at Sevilla from Manchester United is among the stars that will be taking care of the Brazilian back yard. In the midfield, Tite, can amongst others, count on forward-thinking central midfielders like Bruno Guimaraes of Newcastle United’s and Lucas Paqueta. The pairing of Casemiro and Fred is another option. Paris Saint-Germain’s Neymar, will be a regular fixture in the XI, and Tite will have a wealth of options to choose from to play around him in attack. Real Madrid’s Vinicius Jr., who is evolving into one of the feared attackers in Europe, will be a good starter for Brazil on the left side.
