Abu Dhabi : Lions’ Last Camp Begins Today

With five players already on board at press time yesterday, the remaining squad will progressively join training as clubs are expected to release players this November 14, 2022.

The 2022 FIFA World Cup begins in one week. The Indomitable Lions of Cameroon thus have very limited time to make final touches ahead of the global showpiece. They are expected to officially begin their last training camp today November 14, 2022 in Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates. Five players as well as the technical staff are already in Abu Dhabi and have been warming up while waiting for their team mates to progressively join camp. 
The five players including Vincent Aboubakar, Faï Collins, Devis Epassy, Marou Souaibou and Jérôme Ngom Mbekeli, while waiting for the official kick-off of the camp, had a second training session on Saturday November 12, 2022.  The training took place at one of the annex stadiums of the Mohammed Bin Zayed Sports Complex, located some fifteen minutes away from Park Rotana where the entire Cameroonian delegation is lodging. The technical staff reportedly laid emphasis on the offensive phases of play to perfect efficiency in front of the goal post.
