Starting Blocks : Lions Opponents Finalise Preparations

As the teams are moving into Qatar for the kick off of the 2022 FIFA World Cup some are rounding up with pre-World Cup friendly matches. In Group G Cameroon’s opponent Switzerland will play a friendly match against the Black Stars of Ghana in the United Arab Emirates today, Thursday November 17, 2022. Ghana Football Association stated on its website that, this friendly clash will be the last for the Ghana team before the opening of their World Cup campaign with Portugal meeting on November 24, 2022. Ghana football team is currently holding a training camp in Abu Dhabi, led by head coach Otto Addo in preparation for the World Cup. Ghana will be participating in the World Cup in Group H, together with Portugal, Uruguay and South Korea, while Switzerland will participate in the World Cup in Group G, which also includes Cameroon, Brazil and Serbia. 
Serbia will play a friendly match against Bahrain in Riffa on Friday November 18, 2022. This will be their only warm up game before the showdown with Braizil in Group G on November 24, 2022.  The Eagles secured back-to-back appearances by pipping heavyweights Portugal in the UEFA qualifiers following a dramatic last-minute victory on the last day of group action.
