Cameroon : Last Test Match Today

The Indomitable Lions in their eighth appearance at the World Cup plays Panama this Friday to finalise preparations for the Qatar expedition.

The Indomitable Lions of Cameroon have the last chance to test the strategies that they intend to put in place in the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar. They will play Panama in a friendly matchup at the Mohammed Bin Zayed Stadium this Friday November 18, 2022 at 11 am Cameroon time. The match concludes the last training camp of the Lions that opened on November 14, 2022 in Abu Dhabi. After this match, they will leave Abu Dhabi for Qatar on November 19, 2022 to play their first match in the World Cup against Switzerland on November 24, 2022.
The Indomitable Lions of Cameroon, it should be said, were the first African side to make a huge splash in the World Cup knockout stages when they arrived the quarter-finals in 1990. It was an excellent cohort with Roger Milla sparkling. In all, Cameroon first appeared at the World Cup in 1982 and since then have competed in six other editions, failing to leave the group phase in all but one of those.  They failed to qualify in 2018 and are back in 2022 to compete in their eighth world cup. Coach Rigobert Song’s side booked their ticket for the 2022 showpiece by edging out the Desert Foxes of Algeria in the playoffs.
