Fuh Denis Zang : Urging The Lions To Win The Trophy

Ahead of the Indomitable Lions’ expedition in Qatar World Cup 2022, many Cameroonians on the social media are cheering the Lions with a slang “we go take the cup.” The author of the much loved and used jargon is Fuh Denis Zang. He is a mobile phone repairer and comedian living in Bolifamba near Buea. In the build up to the Qatar World Cup, Fuh Denis Zang took to the social media and reiterated that “we will take the cup.” His tone, diction, appearance and assuring facial expression caused many to just love him and his lingo with passion. And his many short videos of “we go take the cup” are shared repeatedly on the blogosphere and carried on banners by supporters during the Lions preparatory matches. 
The slang “we go take the cup” was first made on February 2, 2022 by Fuh Denis Zang during the AFCON 2021 in Cameroon. The host nation, Cameroon, had just defeated The Gambia in the quarterfinals. Again, immediately Cameroon picked up the Qatar World Cup ticket after edging Algeria in Bilda the short clip of Fuh Denis Zang of “we go take the cup” referring to the Qatar World Cup started trending online till date.
