Railway Laws : National Gendarmerie Staff Upgrade Knowledge

A seminar for law enforcement officers in the railway chain wraps up in Yaounde today.

Some officials from the National Gendarmerie in localities where the railway passes in Cameroon have been acquainting themselves with the railway laws in the country. This was during a training workshop to create awareness on the railway texts within the National Gendarmerie. Opening the workshop on Monday November 21, 2022, was the Director of Employment and Structure at the National Gendarmerie, Colonel Mesmin Eloudou, in the presence of the General Manager of the Cameroon Railways (CAMRAIL), Pascal Miny. 
Colonel Mesmin Eloudou said the seminar initiated by CAMRAIL aims at popularizing railway laws within the gendarmerie and also how to tackle uncivil acts along the railway. He explained that the National Gendarmerie, whose role is decisive in securing infrastructure, goods and people, has always made its contribution to securing railways in Cameroon. Today, its contribution has increased in the face of socio-economic, institutional and political transformations. 
The missions assigned to the National Gendarmerie, according to Colonel Eloudou, are not only instituted by the State, but are more cross-cutting since they affect several sectors. Concerning the railway, among the major chall...
