Douala Rallies Behind Lions

Despite their 0-1 defeat against Switzerland, the population of the economic capital supported the Lions till the end.

It was a full supporter’s village at Parcours vita Douala as the population thronged in to watch the match Cameroon versus Switzerland.  Supporters were seen in all corners of Douala flying the colours of Cameroon all in support of the Indomitable Lions. By 10:45 am Thursday, November 24, 2022, the streets of Douala were dry as different groups of people could be spotted around different television sets, positioned at strategic areas on the streets. Their comments and engagement while viewing the match showed how determined they were. Even the second-half goal by Switzerland did not stop supporters as so many were spotted dancing under the scorching sun from the 1st to the 96th minute of the game.
While at the Douala Parcours vita where Governor Samuel Dieudonné Ivaha Diboua watched the match, it was frenzy and excitement.  Different actions of the Indomitable Lions provoked different reactions.  The Governor was ready for the match, with his green, red, yellow vuvuzela in hand.
