Centre : Babungo People Evaluate Development Projects

People from Babungo (Vengo Mbe Ndee) in the North West Region under the leadership of Fon Ndofoa Zofoa III on Saturday 26 November, 2022 gathered in Yaounde for their annual national congress on the theme: “Water is Life, Education is Light.” The event grouped several dignitaries such the Grand Chancellor of National Orders and former Prime Minister, Philemon Yang, the Fon of Bagolan Senator Isaac Chafah, Member of Parliament Njigum Musa and other traditional rulers from the North West Region for a fund raising convention to develop the Babungo village.
During the convention Chaired by Kometa Solomon, the National President of Vengo Mbe Ndee Cultural and Development Association (VENCUDA), Tumenta Yeah Godlove said despite the security and health challenges faced in the country, they realised about 80 per cent of the Toh-Sohfi water project, supported seven micro projects in some quarters in the Babungo village and completed the creation of the Babungo Cooperative Credit Union Ltd. 
Tumenta Yeah Godlove said as of now, 80.50 per cent of activities planned for the year have been executed as compared to 78 per cent last year and 60 per cent in 2020.  Besides roads, electricity and other water catchment projects in the village, the VENCUDA President said in the weeks ahead, they hope to complete the Fon’s Palace ...
