First Lady Discovers African-American Museum

This was during a lunch hosted by the US First Lady, Jill Biden at the Smithsonian National Museum of African American History and Culture yesterday, December 15 in Washington D.C.

Cameroon’s First Lady, Chantal Biya and a host of other African First Ladies accompanying their husbands for the second edition of the U.S.-Africa Leaders Summit, yesterday, December 15, 2022, paid tribute to Black Artistes at the Smithsonian National Museum of African American History and Culture, located on the National Mall in Washington, D.C. This was during a lunch hosted by the First Lady of the US, Jill Biden, within the spousal programme of the summit. The event was also attended by the Second Gentleman of the United States, Donglas Emhoff, husband to the Vice President of the United States, Kamala Harris. Although the event was held in camera, information gathered reveal that it was a veritable moment of bonding between Jill Biden and her guests. 
Upon arrival at the Smithsonian National Museum of African American History and Culture, First Lady, Chantal Biya and her peers paid tribute to black artistes. Thereafter, they took a family photo before sitting down to bond over lunch while discovering the museum which reveals ‘A People’s Journey, A Nation’s Story-that of the African American.’ 
The educator and culinary historian, Jessica Harris, took to the rostrum to welcome the First Ladies and also present the museum which tells the American story through the lens of African American history and culture. It was revealed that the National Museum of African American-History and Culture is the nation’s largest and most comprehensive cultural destination devoted exclusively to exploring, documenting and showcasing the African-American story and its impact on American and world history.
