US-Africa Leaders Summit : Deepening Cooperation Ties Between Both Continents

President Paul Biya joined his African peers and US President yesterday December 15, 2022 to examine ways of moving forward their common vision.
Discussions at the third and last day of the US-Africa Leaders Summit holding at the Washington Convention Center focused yesterday 15 December, 2022 on the salient aspects envisaged by African leaders through the African Union to further their development Agenda. Looking at how the United States of America has been working with the African continent so far and how such a framework could better be enhanced was key to the deliberations.
President Paul Biya who has been present in most of the relevant areas of the conferences and round table meetings in Washington DC also attended yesterday’s gathering entitled: “Leaders Session: Partnering on Agenda 2063.” The President later joined in a family photo that closed the US-Africa Leaders Summit.
Speaking in his closing remarks at the Summit, President Joe Biden noted that: “With this Summit, and with the African Union’s Agenda 2063, our eyes are fixed squarely on the future.” Underlining US perception of the work that both parties have to tackle in the present decade, the US President said no matter the hurdles, their shared commitments and goals remain intact and as a result, his government is working in close collaboration with the United States Congress within the next three years to invest 55 billion US dollars in advancing their common priorities and projects envisaged in the AU’s Agenda 2063.
