CHAN 2022 : Quarterfinals Begin Today

The quarterfinals of the seventh edition of the TotalEnergies African Nations Championship (CHAN 2022) will kick off today, January 27, 2023 in Algeria. Out of the 17 teams that began the competition, only eight are still in the race for the coveted trophy. For two days, the different teams will be seeking for spots in the semi-finals stage of the competition. Algeria will take on Côte d’Ivoire at the Nelson Mandela Stadium in Algiers today January 27, 2023. The host country progressed to the quarterfinals after an undefeated run in the group phase. Despite winning all three games, the Algerians were made to work in every one of them. Co?te d’Ivoire put up a convincing show in Group B, but were less resolute in defence. 
Another quarterfinals clash of the day will see Senegal log horns against Mauritania in Annaba. Senegal finished top of Group B. Mauritania also progressed as Group D winners
