Central African Sub Region : Cameroon’s Dynamism Appreciated

The remark was made by the Special Representative of the UN Secretary General for Central Africa, Abdou Abarry after an audience with Prime Minister Joseph Dion on March 29, 2023.

Contributions made by Cameroon in enhancing peace and stability in the Central Africa sub region, especially through United Nations peace keeping missions have been appreciated. The remark was made by the Special Representative of the United Nations Secretary General for Central Africa and Head of the United Nations Regional Office for Central Africa (UNOCA), Abdou Abarry after an audience he had with the Prime Minister, Head of Government, Joseph Dion Ngute, on March 29, 2023. The UN official was accompanied driving the audience by the Resident Coordinator of UN Systems in Cameroon, Matthias Naab. 
In his statement to the press, Abdou Abarry, said they also reviewed cooperation ties between Cameroon and the United Nations, and he also reiterated his commitment to supporting Cameroon become a more prosperous and peaceful nation. “We also talked of regional dynamism and the role of Cameroon as the breadbasket of the region and its contribution to UN peace keeping operations, and also as a country that promotes peace and stability in the sub region,” the UNOCA boss stated. 
The Nigerien-born who studied at the International Relations Institute of Cameroon (IRIC) some 32 years ago equally reiterated his availability and that of his office to work hand-in-gloves with Cameroon in supporting her priority areas, so as to ensure that the country becomes more powerful, united and prosperous.
