2023 Cup of Cameroon : 32nd Finals Begin Today

The 32nd finals of the 2023 edition of the Football Cup of Cameroon rumbles off this Thursday May 25, 2023 in stadiums across the country. The encounters of this stage will run till Monday May 29, 2023. Representatives of each region will thus begin the fight to replace Coton Sport of Garoua who beat Bamboutos of Mbouda in the final of the previous edition to wear the crown. Elite One teams just like Elite Two clubs will have to rub shoulders with amateur clubs in the quest for the trophy.
One of the top encounters of today will see North West Elite One club, Yong Sport Academy of Bamenda, battle with current League One champions, Coton Sport of Garoua. Pundits say this will be one of the top matches of this stage of the competition. Coton Sport, who won the Cup last season is the second most decorated team in the Cup of Cameroon with seven trophies. YOSA only struggled to maintain themselves in the first division after they succeeded to beat Eding in the play down game. Winning Coton Sport might be difficult but not impossible especially as it has proven in the past that championship and the Cup matches are not always the same.
