NASLA Colloquium : Session Opens With Presentation Of Crises Situations

Over 200 participants will brainstorm on natural, social and political crises bringing scientific methods of solutions at the get together which commenced yesterday and concludes on June 23, 2023.

The Minister of Decentralisation and Local Development, Georges Elanga Obam, has stressed the importance of the theme of the colloquium organised by the National School of Local Administration (NASLA). The Minister was speaking at the opening a three-day conference in Buea yesterday June 21, 2033 under the theme: “Crisis management within the decentralisation context in Cameroon: Challenges and prospects for Regional and Local Authorities”. The Minister of Decentralisation praised NASLA's Director General, Tanyitiku E. Bayee for his initiative in organising the conference that will greatly contribute to local development in Cameroon. 
Minister Elanga Obam explained while opening the colloquium that it was timely and strategic, especially coming under the heels of social, political and natural crises in the country. He was optimistic that the expert presentations and deliberations within roundtable discussions, workshops, business to business encounters and debates among participants would yield pathways to solutions for the crises.
