Golf; International Expert Visits Cameroon

I n view of supporting private initiatives to build new golf courses in Cameroon and in strict compliance with international norms and standards, an international expert, Quinn Sean Kevin, Expert Designer from Nickolaus Design, the world leader in golf course design and construction, paid a three-day working visit to Cameroon from July 6 - 8, 2023. The visit was on the invitation of the President of the Cameroon Golf Federation, Louis Deschamps Elessa Lothin. During his stay in the country, Quinn Sean Kevin visited Cameroon’s two major golf courses notably the Yaounde Golf Club and the Likomba Golf Club Tiko. On Thursday July 6, 2023 the august visitor inspected the Yaounde golf course. Speaking to journalists, after the visit, Quinn Sean Kevin said the Yaounde golf course has a lot of potentials. He said what is needed is to discuss some long-term plans on how to get the standards up. He said the Yaounde golf course has the necessary elements to permit it host major international tournaments. He said he was in Cameroon to see what the problems are, accelerating the problems as much as he can and give solutions.
