Russia-Africa Summit : President Biya Taking Active Part

Cameroon is present at the Second Russia-Africa Summit with President Paul Biya already in St Petersburg since yesterday 27 July, 2023. Accompanied by the First Lady, Mrs Chantal Biya and some cabinet members, the Head of State arrived at the Leningrad Airport amidst a warm reception from a delegation of Cameroonians resident in Russia and several officials of the host city. 
As early as 8:00 AM local time (6:00AM in Cameroon) when the Presidential plane touched down at the Leningrad Airport, there was the Ambassador of Cameroon to Russia, Mahamat Paba Sale, a representative of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and a representative of the Mayor of Leningrad who received the President and the First Lady. They were then driven in a convoy to the Four Season Hotel where the Presidential Couple is taking up residence at Saint Petersburg for the Summit.
