Chantal Biya International Cycling Race : First Lap Tomorrow In Kribi

The ceremony for the presentation of teams will take place today, Monday October 2, 2023 in Kribi as from 3:00 p.m.

The 23rd edition of the Chantal Biya International cycling Race will kick off in Kribi today, October 2, 2023. Ahead of the start of the competition, organisers have been burning the midnight candles in order to ensure a hitch-free competition. All the teams invited for the competition began arriving in the country last weekend. The Algeria cycling team arrived in the country yesterday October 1, 2023. The race commissioner, Belgium’s Laurent Gentilli arrived at the Nsimalen international Airport on Saturday September 30, 2023. He was received by the members of the sub commission in charge of protocol from the Cameroon Cycling Federation. The operator of the photo finish, Francis Nicolas Philipon equally arrived in Yaounde on Saturday. Burkina Faso and Côte d’Ivoire arrived at the Douala International Airport at 2:30 a.m. yesterday, October 1, 2023. The national cycling team of Morocco arrived in Douala yesterday, October 1, 2023. 
From all indications, all the teams are set for the competition. During a joint meeting held in Kribi on September 29, 2023 at the Kribi City Council Ceremonial Hall between the President of the Association for the Development of the Ocean Division, Jules Doret Ndongo, who doubles as Minister of Forestry and Wildlife and the President of FECACYLISME, Honoré Yossi, officials of FECACYCLISME and the Elite of the Ocean Division reaffirmed their support for the successful hosting of the opening ceremony of the 23rd edition of the Chantal Biya International Cycling Race.
