2024 Women’s AFCON : 12 Qualified Teams Known

The last round qualifiers ended on Wednesday December 5, 2023 in stadiums across Africa.
The 12 teams that will take part in the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations to be staged in Morocco are now known. They include: Morocco (host country), South Africa, Algeria, Botswana, Ghana, Mali, DR Congo, Senegal, Tanzania, Tunisia, Zambia and Nigeria. These teams picked their spots after the last round qualifiers second leg qualifiers which ran from December 4-5, 2023 in stadiums across Africa.
It should be recalled that Cameroon, was eliminated in the first round qualifiers by Kenya. Kenya equally could not make it to the final phase of the competition after being eliminated by Botswana in the last round qualifiers 2-1 on aggregate.
Nonetheless, there wasn't much suspense for the second legs of the final round of the Women's AFCON qualifiers. Most of the teams had already done the job, and few games were still undecided. Paradoxically, South Africa, the defending champions, were somewhat weakened after their draw (1-1) in the firs...
