The training ahead of the 2023 AFCON is expected to run from January 1-10, 2024 in the town of Djeddah.
Five-time winners of the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon are hoping for a sixth crown in the 34th edition of the competition to run from January 13-February 11, 2024 in Côte d’Ivoire. It is against this backdrop that reliable sources have it that the team led by Head Coach Rigobert Song will camp in Djeddah, Saudi Arabia. The training, according to sources, is expected to run from January 1-10, 2024.
For 10 days, Coach Rigobert Song will be able to communicate to the players what is expected from them and make final touches as to what concerns preparations. This is knowing that the team has a tough task ahead having being pooled in Group C alongside reigning champions Senegal, Guinea and Gambia.
At press time yesterday, Head Coach Rigobert Song had not yet made public the final list of Lions that will travel to Côte d’Ivoire. Reliable sources reveal that a press conference will be held tomorrow Thursday December 29, 2023 at the FECAFOOT Technical Centre to unveil the list of players that will defend the colours of Cameroon come January 2024.
