CAN 2023 : Cameroonian Fans Set To Cheer Lions

They are eager to watch the Lions begin the competition in style against Guinea today.
The Indomitable Lions of Cameroon face Guinea today January 15, 2024 at the Charles Konan Banny Stadium in Yamoussoukro. As the team is strategising to kick-off the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in style, so are Cameroonian fans in Yamoussoukro bracing up to cheer the Lions to victory. The majority of the Cameroonian Community based in Abidjan should be gearing up with all enthusiasm. Those on ground in Yamoussoukro are living no stone unturned.
This is evident with the fact that a Lions’ Village is operational in Yamoussoukro where Cameroonian fans who cannot make it to the stadium can live the encounter as if they were present. On Saturday January 13, 2024 when we visited the site, a few Cameroonians had thronged the venue to live the opening ceremony and join their Ivorian brothers to cheer the Elephants to victory. But as usual “the Ivorian-Cameroonian” clash erupted. While the Cameroonians said the Lions are the best, the Ivoirians debunked saying that they can’t compare with the Elephants that are top. Some even hoped that for the judgement to be made, the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon and the Elephants of Côte d’Ivoire should meet in one of the encounters, so that the best team should demonstrate its suprema...
