FENASSCO League « A » Games : Competition Begins Today

A total of 2, 280 athletes and young officials will be taking part in this year’s event that will take place in Limbe.
The 24th edition of the national FENASSCO League “A” Games will kick off in Limbe in the South West Region today April 2, 2024. Ahead of the competition, the city of Limbe is set for the games. Several activities have been programmed for today. These include the inauguration of the monument of the games at the Lycée Classic of Limbe at 1:00 p.m. by the Minister of Secondary Education, Prof. Nalova Lyonga. This will be followed by a ceremony to receive the Olympic Flame at 2:00 p.m. Minister Nalova Lyonga will then hand over the Olympic Flame to the Mayor of the Limbe City Council, Paul Efome.
The day will end with the common meal for all the athletes, officials and invitees. The common meal was introduced by the Minister in 2019 to enable the athletes eat together and get to know one another better. The official opening ceremony of the games will take place tomorrow, Wednesday April 3, 2024 at the Limbe Omnisports Stadium at 10:00 a.m. The high point of the opening ceremony will be the women’s football match pitting the South West Region against the North West Region.
