Marc Brys who visited sports infrastructure in Yaounde on April 9, 2024 will have a daunting task of building a solid team.
Effective work has begun in the national football team. Shortly after signing a two and a half year contract with Cameroon the new head coach of the indomitable Lions, Marc Brys has started working. To mark the first step of his assignment in Cameroon, Marc Brys and members of his technical staff began by visiting sports infrastructure on April 9, 2024 in the capital city where he will begin working in the days ahead. At the Yaounde Ahmadou Ahidjo Stadium, Marc Brys was received by the coordinator of the Yaounde Ahmadou Ahidjo Stadium, Timothée Mete on arrival. He then had a guided tour of the stadium. He was later taken to the Omnisports Annex Stadium 1 where he inspected all the compartments. Earlier, Marc Brys was in the Olembe Stadium for the same exercise. The visit took place in the presence of the Technical Adviser Number Two in the Ministry of Sports and Physical Education, Cyrille Tolo. As work has already begun it is expected that the right peo- ple be put in the right places in order to achieve better re- sults. The visit of Marc Brys is in line with preparations ahead of day three and four matches of the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers that will kick off with a match between Cameroon and Cape Verde on June 7, 2024.
