While the Indomitable Lions goalkeeper clinches the FA Cup with Manchester United, Cameroon’s captain, Vincent Aboubakar wins the Turkish Super Cup with Besiktas.
Cameroon’s national flag flew high again recently thanks to national team captain, Vincent Aboubakar, and first-choice goalkeeper, Andre Onana who both lifted trophies with their respective clubs in England and Turkey.
Onana, Manchester United's imposing shot-stopper, played a crucial role in the Red Devils' dramatic 2-1 victory over Manchester City in the FA Cup final at Wembley on Saturday May 25, 2024. The Cameroonian made several key saves throughout the encounter that helped preserve United's lead. This triumph marks Manchester United's 13th FA Cup title and secures their entry into next season's Europa League. Onana made three saves and three crucial punches in the encounter of high stakes.
