An International Volleyball Training Course for Level I Coaches is ongoing at the Yaounde Multipurpose Sports Complex. The course began on June 4, 2024 and is expected to run till June 8, 2024. The programme, a collaboration between the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB) and the Cameroon Volleyball Federation (FECAVOLLEY) with the support of the National Olympic and Sports Committee, draws 68 enthusiastic participants from across the country and beyond. Both men and women are taking part, reflecting the sport's growing popularity and inclusiveness.
Officially opening the course, the Secretary General of the National Olympic and Sports Committee, David Ojong, representing the President of the Committee, emphasized the importance of such initiatives. He underlined that the development of any sports starts from the base reason why it is important to reinforce the capacities of individuals that can detect these talents and train them for future bigger challenges.
