CAF Preliminary Round : Cameroonian Clubs Know Opponents

The draw of the CAF Interclub men’s competition took place in Cairo yesterday, July 11, 2024.
The two Cameroonian representatives in the CAF Champions League (CCL) and the CAF Confederations Cup now know their adversaries in the first round preliminaries of the CAF Champions League and the CAF Confederations Cup. Victoria United of Limbe will play against FC Samartex of Ghana in the CAF Champions League while Fovu FC of Baham while take on Paynesville FC of Liberia in the CAF Confederations Cup.
That is the outcome of the draw of the CAF preliminary rounds that took place in Cairo yesterday July 11, 2024. It will be the first time Victoria United will be taking part in the CAF Champions League competition. Fovu of Baham FC participated in the CAF Confederations Cup in 2011 and 2022. The away legs of the two competitions will take place from August 16-18, 2024.
The draw of the Preliminary Stage of the TotalEnergies CAF Champions League and TotalEnergies CAF Confederation Cup officially marks the start of what promises to be another exciting season of premium Africa club football. Accordingly, the five highest-ranked clubs in the official clubs ranking shall be exempted from the first preliminary round. The remaining 54 clubs shall play as of the 1st preliminary round and consist of the highest-ranked clubs (4), lowest-ranked clubs (14) and non-ranked clubs (36) according to the official clubs ranking.
