National Gymnastic Championship : Emergence Jaomyn Is Winner

Over 40 athletes took part in the competition that ended at the National Institute of Youth and Sports in Yaounde on Saturday July 27, 2024.
The gymnasium of the National Institute of Youth and Sports in Yaounde was the venue of the 2024 edition of the national gymnastic championship that took place on Saturday July 27, 2024. Organised by the Cameroon Gymnastics Federation (FECAGYM) the competition brought together over 40 gymnasts athletes from nine teams across the country. The finals unfolded in the U-7, U-10 and U-13 youth categories as well as elite category athletes above 15 years. The athletes competed in artistic and freestyle gymnastics. The competition marked the end of the gymnastics season in Cameroon.
The athletes put up remarkable performances in the competition. At the end of the competition, Emergence Jaomym Gymnastics Club emerged as champion after a stiff competition. One of the athletes of the Emergence Jaomym Club, Jacente Estrella said she was happy with her result and that the competition was good. “I am delighted to have won the competition in the Junior Ladies category. It's the culmination of all my efforts. I didn't expect to be outclassed in the juniors. I am really pleased with myself. The level of the competition was good overall”. Ajara Fomekong, equally from the Emergence Jaomym Club, captain of the Cameroon's national senior ladies gymnastics team demonstrated her prowess by dominating the competition in her category.
