For the past six months at the helm of the Indomitable Lions as Head Coach, Marc Brys has demonstrated a commendable ability to navigate the complexities of managing the dressing room, particularly in the face of unprecedented challenges. Brys has faced a unique situation involving two technical staff. A circumstance that has undoubtedly played down on output. Training with one staff and having another on the bench during matches is clear disorder that can barely produce juicy fruits. Yet, he has managed to maintain a calm conduct; with his focus on producing results. Evidence, his matches have effectively been played and he has been pictured with a technical staff different from those he has during training sessions.
On the part of the players, there have been no reported instances of professional indiscipline. Yet, the situation that erupted where the players had to choose to camp either in Yaounde or Douala ahead of the last two matches against Namibia and Zimbabwe got tongues wagging.
