Press Freedom, Ethics : Canada Extends Helping Hand

This was revealed during an audience between the High Commissioner of Canada in Cameroon and the President of the National Communication Council.
The High Commissioner of Canada in the Republic of Cameroon, Lorraine Anderson, has expressed her country’s wish to help the country ensure that there is quality and equality in the expression and protection of press freedom. She was speaking on September 30, 2024 in Yaounde after an audience with the President of the National Communication Council (NCC), Joseph Chebongkeng Kalabubsu.
While speaking to the press, the Canadian diplomat, Lorraine Anderson, said it was her first courtesy visit to the National Communication Council (NCC) in a bid to know the priority of the organisation and how Canada can accompany them to reinforce the competence and capacity of media practitioners, documentation and press liberty.
