2024-2025 NBA Season : Cameroonian Players Set To Shine

The new season begins today October 22, 2024 with the likes of Pascal Siakam, Christian Koloko, Yves Missi and Ulrich Chomche ready to defend the colours of their franchises.

The 2024-2025 regular season of the NBA begins today October 22, 2024 and teams are set to unravel their talents on the basketball court. Cameroon pride self of at least four players in this prestigious league. Christian Koloko is expected to set the ball rolling for the Cameroonians with Los Angeles Lakers. The team plays Minnesota Timberwolves in Los Angeles today. It should be recalled that Lakers made an intriguing addition recently, signing center Christian Koloko to a two-way contract. A second-round pick in 2022, Koloko was waived by the Toronto Raptors and placed on the NBA’s fitness-to-play list after the discovery of blood clots that threatened to end his career. At press time yesterday, we had not stumbled on any information concerning the panel giving him clearance but the Lakers are banking on the potential of the defensive-minded seven-footer to boost the squad.  If he is effectively fielded today, all doubts hovering around him will die a natural death.
Pascal Siakam is expected to follow suit on Wednesday with Indiana Pacers. The Pacers come head on against Detroit Pistons in Detroit. Siakam joined Indiana Pacers in June this year and is gradually establishing himself as a pillar in the squad. Indiana Pacers won Hornets in its last pre-season game on October 17, 2024 (121-116). Siakam returned after a missing a game to play 25 minutes and scored six points.
