AFD-Cameroon : Supervision Sector Mission Results Presented

The Secretary General of the Ministry of Sports and Physical Education, Joseph Yerima, held talks with a delegation from the French Development Agency (AFD) Paris in Yaounde on Friday, October 26, 2024. It was a special meeting, given the importance of the issues on the agenda which are vital to the successful implementation of the SPORCAP “SPORT Capitales Régionale” programme.
Speaking at the opening, Joseph Yerima said the AFD supervision mission is an opportunity to reaffirm the joint commitment of Cameroon and the AFD to the successful completion of the project which will boost the practice of physical and sporting activities in Cameroon and encourage young girls to practice sports. He called on the attention of the experts on taking into consideration the proposals for improvements made by those involved in sports in Bafoussam and other towns and the regional delegates should be involved in the project design phase. 
Talking to journalists, Nina Hadji, Head of AFD Paris said the mission was about supervising and doing the storing up of the SPORCAP Programme which is a new programme that supported and financed by the French government through the French Development Agency.
