Mbonge Subdivision : Military Operation Neutralizes Notorious Separatist Fighters

The 6th Region Rapid Intervention Battalion (BIR) with headquarters in Mambanda, Kumba carried out the raid on October 24 in Bombanda village.
Inhabitants of some localities in Mbonge Subdivision, Meme Division in the South West Region have heaved a sigh of relief following the killing of some ten separatist fighters’ kingpins in the area. The clean-up operation carried out by the 6th BIR Region based in Mambanda, Kumba also led to the recuperation of 13 war ammunition and explosive devices as well as military fatigues.
The elite force Commander of the 6th BIR Region, Lieutenant Colonel Onana Gilles Mbarga and his elements stormed the locality of Bombanda, a stronghold for separatist warlord, Ndiba Lenya Clifford who proclaimed himself as ‘general Lucifer.’ The notorious separatist fighter warlord and eight others who wreaked havoc in the locality were neutralized. Other pseudo generals neutralized alongside ‘general Lucifer during the military raid of their hideout were ‘general Rassman,’ ‘general Don Plus, ‘colonel Viper’, ‘General Police,’ ‘Colonel Doze’ and ‘Commandant Black’.
The elements of the sixth BIR region are said to have stormed their hideout following multiple complaints from the population especially traders in the cocoa sector who were being harassed, tortured and sometimes killed by the separatist fighters in their areas of operation.
According to the Senior Divisional Officer for Meme, Chamberlin Ntou’ou Ndong, close to 13 weapons were recovered including military uniforms and some improvised explosive devices, amongst others things.
