Russia-Africa Partnership Forum : First Ministerial Conference Opens Tomorrow

External Relations Minister, Mbella Mbella is leading the Cameroonian delegation at the gathering which holds in Sochi from November 9-10, 2024.
Foreign Ministers of African countries and heads of executive bodies of African integration organisations will tomorrow November 9, 2024 begin meeting with Russian officials within the framework of the first Ministerial Conference of the Russia-Africa Partnership Forum. Building on the success of the second Russia-Africa Summit held in 2023, the two-day event (November 9-10, 2024) taking place in Sochi, Russia, and in which Cameroon’s Minister of External Relations, Mbella Mbella participates, aims to strengthen cooperation between Russia and African nations across different sectors, notably, politics, security, economics, science and technology, culture, research, and humanitarian affairs. It also seeks to implement decisions made at the 2023 Russia-Africa Summit.
More specifically, Minister Mbella Mbella will join his African counterparts and other senior officials to share experiences on a series of key areas of cooperation, including the development of trade and economic cooperation, investment partnership, joint work in education and science, strengthening security and regional cooperation, and the expansion of cooperation between BRICS and African countries. Information from Russian news outlets present a tentative programme of the conference, which besides the official opening ceremony includes roundtables and panel discussions on the most pressing issues on the Russian-African agenda to be held on the sidelines of the Conference. A separate thematic area is announced and will focus on humanitarian cooperation between Russia and its African partners.
