Obituary : André Betome Epoupa Is Dead

André Betome Epoupa, former handball player, National Technical Director in the Cameroon Handball Federation (FECAHAND) is dead. He died in Douala on November 6, 2024 following a protracted illness. Many describe the late National Technical Director as one who was devoted to his job and an icon that has left a wide gap in the Cameroon handball scene. 
 André Betome Epoupa was former Secretary General of FECAHAND, Head of Desk Sports in the University of Yaounde 1 before becoming the National Technical Director of FECAHAND. Apart from that, he was also President of sub-commission for handball in the University Games. Marcel Manyaka, former handball player, said Betome Epoupa worked hard especially for the youths who were interested in handball. “He has done a lot for Cameroon handball and it is an icon that Cameroon has lost.
