Namibia-Cameroon : Lions Leave For Johannesburg Today

A handful of the team had its first training session in-camera yesterday November 11, 2024 at the Ngoa-Ekelle Stadium in Yaounde.

According to sources within the spheres of the Indomitable Lions, the team leaves for Johannesburg, South Africa today November 12, 2024. This is ahead of their 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying game against Namibia on November 13, 2024 at the Orlando Stadium. The game counts for the fifth playing day of the qualifiers.
Despite having already qualified for the final phase of the competition, Coach Marc Brys wants to emerge victorious and keep the winning flame burning. It is against this backdrop, that he had the first training session in-camera yesterday November 11, 2024 with a handful of players at Ngoa-Ekelle. At the time of this report yesterday, 13 players were present at the Hilton Hotel in Yaounde. Among them, the newcomers Younoussa Wilitty and Arthur Avom. Others included; Flavien Boyomo, Frank Magri, Darlin Yongwa, Patrick Soko, Simon Omossola, Simon Ngapandouetnbu, Fai Collins, Michael Ngadeu, Guy-Marcelin Kilama, Martin Hongla and Boris Enow who had answered present out of the 26 called up. Nonetheless, reports had it that Bryan Mbeumo, André-Franck Zambo Anguissa and Carlos Baleba will be unfit for the matches. 
While Cameroon's qualification is assured, Namibia, though eliminated, remains committed to putting up a strong fight. Head Coach Collin Benjamin didn’t shy away from taking accountability and in the same vein singing praise to his players.
