Affair Mathis-Nathaniel : Alleged Murderer Taken To Court

Nwafo Dagobert was moved to the High Court in Yaounde yesterday, May 27, 2025.
The alleged murderer of little Mathis was brought before the Yaounde High Court yesterday May 27, 2025 to answer for his actions. A source from the 5th District Police Station situated at the Ngoa-Ekelle neighbourhood says investigations surrounding the death of six-year-old Mathis-Nathaniel Ouandji, is completed at the level of the police station. As such, the case has been declared closed and the matter sent to the high court for the alleged murderer; Nwafo Dagobert to face legal procedures.
Information indicates that Mathis-Nathaniel Ouandji was stabbed to death on May 10, 2025 in the family residence at the Ngoa-Ekelle neighbourhood in Yaounde. The incident still sends shockwaves within the population. The population, the government, as well as the Head of State have expressed compassion and support to the family of the deceased child.
According to previous information from the 5th District Police Station, on that fateful day, while in a beer parlour, Nwafo Dagobert had a quarrel with Paulin Ouandji who happens to be the father of the deceased child. Later, Nwafo Dagobert went to his home, collected a knife and went to Paulin Ouandji’s home, where he met three children watching television. He threatened the children with his knife, two of them escaped, but Mathis-Nathaniel who was focused on the TV was stabbed around the neck. The police source further revealed that when Nwafo Dagobert left the home of Paulin Ouandji, he acted as if nothing had happened.
