National and international experts met in Yaounde over the weekend to discuss the future of Cameroon’s little children. Organised by the Ministry of Basic Education and the National UNESCO Commission, the two-day workshop from August 25-26, 2016, discussed the protection and education of little children, and later produced a white paper.
Organisers explained that the objective was to boost the curriculum of little children and also strengthen the respect of their rights. The workshop was preceded by a field trip in Yaounde from July 18-22, 2016, during which data was collected on the situation of little children in the city. Analysis of the data enabled educationists to make projections of the situation at the national level.
