Algeria’s 71st Independence Day : Pomp, Fanfare Celebration In Yaounde

During the event on November 29, 2025, His Excellency Abdallah Boukemmache, also announced crucial agreements to boost development of both countries.
The Yaounde Hilton Hotel on Saturday played host to celebration marking the 71st Anniversary of the National Day of the Democratic Republic of Algeria. The event which was a moment to commemorate the historic Glorious Revolution of November 1, 1954, is a defining chapter in Algeria’s struggle for Independence and human dignity, marked by a long, difficult and sacrificial path that paved the way for a legacy of a moral compass nation. Speaking during the event that was graced by the presence of the Inspector General at the Ministry of External Relations, in charge of Consular Affairs, Oyono Oyono Jean Stanilas (representing the Minister of External Relations), members of government, diplomatic corps, parliamentarians and business community, the Algerian Ambassador to Cameroon, H.E. Abdallah Boukemmache hailed the long-standing relations between Algeria and Cameroon based on solidarity, respect and mutual consideration.
He said, “our two countries share much more than a common African identity. They are bound by a history of shared struggle, a convergent Pan-African vision, and a shared aspiration for common prosperity”. Adding that, while preparations are afoot for the next session of the mixed cooperation commission, it is important to salute the numerous significant measures recorded so far with the exchange of high level visits in 2024 and 2025, that culminated with the signing of very important accord in the domain of agriculture and military cooperation that witnessed the training of specialised military units.
