Commonwealth Trade, Investment Summit: Cameroon Invited As Star Guest

The Chairman of the Commonwealth Enterprise and Investment Foreign, Lord Jonathan Peter Marland, extended the invitation yesterday to Prime Minister Joseph Dion Ngute.

On April 20 and 21 this year, the fifth edition of the Commonwealth Trade and Investment Summit will be held in London and shall convene Heads of Government, Ministers, and senior business leaders from across the Commonwealth for two days of discussion and networking at the highest level. It is expected to hold under the theme; “Commonwealth Solutions to Global Challenges,” and will examine issues such as the future of Artificial Intelligence, sustainable energy transitions, infrastructure investment, health technologies, creative industries, and the evolving global financial landscape. Cameroon, has been invited to the London event as a star guest. The invitation was handed to the Prime Minister, Head of Government, Joseph Dion Ngute yesterday March 2, 2026 by the Chairman of the Commonwealth Enterprise and Investment Council (CWEIC), Lord Jonathan Peter Marland during an audience the former accorded the latter. In his statement to the press, the Chairman said, “It is a privilege to have been received by the Prime Minister of this great country. I wanted to extend the invitation to be a star guest at the Commonwealth Trade and Investment Summit in London in April. Having been a former Minister Delegate to the Minister of External Relations in charge of Cooperation with the Commonwealth (referring to Joseph Dion Ngute), he has been a real friend to the Commonwealth and of course a friend to our Organisation,” he stated.
