Awaited Twin Elections: CPDM Fako IA Draws-up Victory Strategies

The Limbe I Council Hall was jam­ med-packed with members of the ruling Cameroon People’s Demo­ cratic Movement (CPDM) of the Fako 1A Section as they gathered for a Peace and Reconciliation Conference on August 27, 2026. The conference which held on the theme “Peace, Unity and Reconci­ liation for Assured Victory,” was chaired by the Section President, Ludwig Makaka Williams in the pre­ sence of the Divisional Officer of Limbe I, Innocent Moni and the two Members of Parliament for Fako East as well as the Mayor of Limbe I Council, Florence Eposi Mbwaye. Addressing attendees of the heavily attended section conference, Mr Makaka said without peace bet­ ween themselves, they cannot move forward. “Let us cultivate peace in our ranks, in our cells, branches, subsections and section at large,” he said, while calling for unity. “For too long, division has been our greatest enemy. Division between the old and the young, division among men and women and division among ourselves. To­ day, I call for unity,” he beckoned.
