South Region: CERAC Advocates Love, Solidarity

The First Lady’s humanitarian caravan was in the region over the weekend with gifts for the population.

After Kribi in 2004 and 2015, Akom II in 2009, Lolodorf in 2012, Mvengue in 2013, a delegation of the Circle of Friends of Cameroon (CERAC) was again in the Ocean Division, this time around for rural women, youths and vulnerable people of Bipindi, Kribi, Mvengue and Lolodorf in the South Region. The populace of these localities were graced with a visit from Mrs Biya’s association. The charitable visit was an opportunity for CERAC members to showcase their involvement in alleviating poverty and improving the living conditions of rural women and vulnerable persons. Representing the First Lady during the festive gathering on Saturday, April 29, 2017 was the General Coordinator of CERAC, Mrs Linda Yang. Besides cars full of gifts, Linda Yang also brought a message of love, sharing and show of support for one another from the First Lady, to the population of the South Region.
The General Coordinator of CERAC told the population that the eradication of hunger, misery, poverty and illness are the major priorities of Mrs Chantal Biya and CERAC for over twenty two years. “Each day, Mrs Biya takes concrete actions to improve the living conditions of Cameroonians,” Linda Yang noted. That is why Mrs Biya sent gifts to vulnerable people, youths and rural women in the localities of Bipindi, Kribi, Mvengue and Lolodorf. Some associations of rural women in the division received agricultural tools from CERAC. Amongst such agricultural inputs are wheel barrows, grinding machines, cutlasses, hoes, fertilizer, atomizer, moto pumps, and rain boots.
