GCE, FSLC, CEP, BAC, CAP: Secondary, Basic Education Ministers Reassure NW
Ministers Jean Ernest Massena Ngalle Bibehe and Yousouf Hadidja Alim sized up conduct of examinations in the region yesterday
Secondary and Basic Education Ministers; Jean Ernest Massena Ngalle Bibehe and Youssouf Hadidja Alim respectively spent June 14, 2017 in GCE, FSLC, CEP, examination accommodation Centres in Bamenda, Kumbo, Ndop and Mbengwi where they went assuring Chiefs of Centre, Superintendents, invigilators etc. of the government’s commitment to stand by the good conduct of the 2017 end-of-year examinations. At GBHS Ntamulung, Bamenda, the Secondary Education Minister was impressed with the percentage participation of candidates which rose from 53.75 per cent on day one, to 55.48 per cent on day three of GCE organized examinations. The Chief of Centre told the Minister that some 238 candidates have so far answered present out of the expected 429 at the centre. A major absence at the Center was 17-year-old Anyere Chatelle who was assaulted on her way to school for revision classes ahead of the GCE on June 5, 2017. The Minister reassured that the government will bankroll all the medical bills while she recovers at the Mbingo Baptist hospital.
Candidates were face to face with examination papers when the Minister visited GBHS Bayelle while GTHS Nkwen featured Examiners correcting Cap examinations scripts with some candidates still writing BAC disciplines.
