Indomitable Lions : Government Calls For Unity

The appeal was made by Minister Narcisse Mouelle Kombi yesterday in Yaounde as he presided at the meeting on Cameroon’s participation at the 2025 AFCON.

The government has issued a strong call for unity and harmony as the Indomitable Lions prepare to represent the nation at the 2025 TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Morocco. Minister of Sports and Physical Education, Narcisse Mouelle Kombi, emphasized these values during a meeting in Yaounde on December 10, 2025, regarding Cameroon’s participation in the tournament, which runs from December 21, 2025, to January 18, 2026.
Minister Mouelle Kombi highlighted the vital role that cohesion, solidarity, and professional dedication will play in ensuring the team’s success. “When the Lions win, it is the Cameroonian public that triumphs, and it is the nation that is honoured,” he remarked, urging all stakeholders to focus their energies on a strong and united push for victory.
Presiding at the meeting, which took place in camera with key partner administrations including the Cameroon Football Federation (FECAFOOT), represented by First Vice President Céline Eko, the Minister tasked the federation with taking all necessary measures to prepare the team and ensure Cameroon performs better than in the last three AFCON editions.
